Idaho Veteran’s Parade

The 2026 Parade theme is: United in Service 1776-2026, Celebrating 250 Years of Service and Sacrifice.

The Idaho Veterans Parade is held annually on a Saturday near Veterans Day. This is the largest Veterans parade in Idaho and takes place in downtown Boise. The opening ceremonies are held on the Capital steps, and the parade route runs from 8th and Jefferson, proceeding past the Capital before turning onto 4th Street to Bannock, continuing through to 11th street. The parade is also televised.

The mission of the Idaho Veterans Parade is to recognize the sacrifices and honor the services of all Armed Forces veterans of the United States of America and heighten community awareness, appreciation, and value of the military service to our nation.

Our goal is to celebrate and honor our veterans by extending written invitations to all military, veteran, and civic organizations, selected universities, high schools, junior high schools, youth groups from communities throughout the Treasure Valley and encourage marching bands, floats, boys and girl scout units in the parade so that through their participation and support of the parade theme, they will honor the service and sacrifice of both serving members and veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America and at the same time heighten community awareness of the value of military service to the nation.
