Here We Have Idaho
Carrie, I Remember You
Experience an unforgettable evening of music, history, and remembrance at Carrie, I Remember You, a special concert honoring the life and legacy of Carrie Cartee through the timeless voice of the historic Weber Piano. Presented in collaboration with the Idaho State Museum as part of the Here We Have Idaho Concert Series: America at 250, this performance celebrates Idaho’s musical heritage while reflecting on the stories and individuals who helped shape our state and nation. This project is proudly supported by the Boise Arts & History Grant.
At the heart of the evening is the beautifully restored Weber Piano, a treasured historic instrument whose rich sound connects audiences to generations past. Through an original musical tribute composed by Paul Schiller, the piano becomes more than an instrument—it becomes a storyteller, carrying themes of resilience, patriotism, memory, and hope across time.
Guests are invited to begin the evening with a self-guided exploration of the Idaho State Museum, where exhibits and artifacts provide historical context that deepens the concert experience. The performance then continues in the Idaho Room, where the historic Weber Piano takes center stage in an intimate and inspiring musical presentation.
Carrie, I Remember You offers a rare opportunity to experience living history through music, honoring Idaho’s cultural legacy while celebrating the enduring power of preservation, storytelling, and song.
