Shining Bright: Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of our Nation’s Founding
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Ada County Courthouse is illuminated in red, white, and blue. This patriotic display serves as a reminder of our shared history, the sacrifices made by generations of Idahoans and Americans, and the continued importance of civic engagement as we honor this historic milestone.
In addition to the red, white and blue exterior lighting, next time you’re inside the Ada County Courthouse on Front Street in downtown Boise, you’ll notice two large banners hanging in the lobby. These banners serve as a reminder to all who pass through the courthouse of the significance of the Declaration of Independence. If you haven’t read this seminal document, it takes just five minutes and is an inspiring reminder of our founders’ brilliant vision.
