As we approach the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, Idaho invites organizations, individuals, and stakeholders to commemorate this historic milestone.
Ways to Get Involved
By joining this statewide effort, you’ll be part of a once-in-a-lifetime commemoration that celebrates our past while looking ahead to Idaho’s next 250 years. Together, we can make America250 in Idaho a meaningful and impactful experience for all.
A dedicated task force comprising representatives from various state departments and agencies will plan and execute Idaho’s commemoration from July 2024 to December 2027. This group will ensure a coordinated and impactful statewide celebration.
On July 1, 2024, Governor Brad Little signed a proclamation acknowledging the America250 in Idaho commemoration from now through June 30, 2027.
In 2024, the Idaho Legislature passed House Concurrent Resolution No. 31, establishing an Advisory Committee to support the America250 in Idaho commemoration. With seven distinguished members the Advisory Committee ensures a meaningful celebration of this historic milestone.
The Committee invites all Idahoans – individuals, organizations, and communities – to participate in commemorative activities celebrating our shared history and values.
