MOVE 250
Get out and explore Idaho!
Move250 Idaho is a statewide movement challenge developed in celebration of America250, encouraging Idahoans to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary by exploring the landscapes, communities, and history that make the United States and the Gem State extraordinary.
Through this collaborative initiative led by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR), the Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD), the Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS), and the Idaho Department of Commerce/Visit Idaho, participants are invited to move 250 miles in 2026 by walking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, paddling, off-highway vehicle riding, snowmobiling, driving historic or scenic byways or any other form of transport along Idaho’s remarkable network of parks, trails, roads, and waterways.
Participants will log their progress through an online self-reporting platform that tracks the miles they move. The America250 in Idaho Task Force will celebrate participants who reach specific milestones or contribute to particular Move250 challenges through social media and other communications channels.

How it Works

Participants may receive recognition for reaching specific milestones or completing sponsored challenges (e.g., 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 miles; mileage within state parks, etc.).
